Georgia Toffolo discusses James' LinkedIn engagement announcement
I’m A Celebrity favourite Georgia Toffolo has addressed the backlash her fiancé faced after he announced their engagement on LinkedIn.
Last week, the former Made in Chelsea star announced that her partner and BrewDog owner James Watt after one year of dating. The happy couple shared the news on social media, but one site fans didn’t expect them to share the news was on LinkedIn.
After popping the question, the businessman took to the platform to share the exciting news with his fans online. Unfortunately, it didn’t take long before viewers poked fun at personal news on the business programme.
Taking to the comments, one user penned: "I'm going to die of cringe" as another added: "This is absolutely hilarious and iconic", while a third echoed: "LinkedIn is a disease."
Now, the influencer has taken to Instagram on Sunday (November 17) to share her thoughts on the backlash her future husband has faced.

As she tried on two glamorous ensembles, she talked through her grievances. She told viewers: “I’m going to address something that I’ve consciously and purposefully chosen to ignore for a very long time
“So, my James is battered by the press every single day and it’s been the same thing now for years, way before he met me. A gorgeous little example of this, so of course, we got engaged recently.
“James was hammered by the media everywhere from the New York Post to random newspapers in New Zealand hammering James just for simply announcing that he got engaged to me.”
She went on to explain how surprised she was by the negative response to the joyful news. Georgia added: “I found it really wild because it’s a stark contrast to the amazing, warm, beautiful, fuzzy feedback that I had from you guys, from also the press when they’re talking about it from my perspective.

“It’s something that’s bothered me since the day I met him. The media in the UK have always been very fair to me but it’s also given me a bit of a shock since I've been with James to see that it can be so different.
“I believe so deeply and fundamentally in a free press, I love that about the UK, but we also need to make sure that it’s actually true and that the stuff that we’re consuming is true."
Reflecting on how her partner has been treated, she added: "I’ve just struggled with the sea between who James actually is and how he’s portrayed to be by the media.
"And I feel so confused about the whole thing because I feel so fortunate and lucky and I feel like I've been dealt a really fair hand with me. But he’s the most kind and gentle person and I just get a bit frustrated, it’s really grinding my gears."
