Le 50 migliori cose da fare e attrazioni a Napa (2024)

The Napa Valley Wine Train offers a scenic tour of Napa Valley with locally sourced American fare. This historic train has been restored to offer a luxurious rail ride through the valley while serving wine and food.

We LOVED our wine train tour. This is an absolute must do for anyone in the region!!!Our server - J - was a delightful treat for the day and took excellent care of us. As well as Miguel , who made sure we got on and off the train at each stop. (And made sure we didn’t get left behind, because… we’ll… ) but this was just a total ball!!! I’d probably do it again the next time I come just for the massive amount of fun I had. Also make sure you go visit the store in the shop. They have so much to offer!!! Such good stuff!!!!

Very unique experience! The staff was very kind and helpful. The food was excellent and beautifully plated. The station had a lovely gift shop and clean restrooms, as well as comfortable couches and high top tables at which to sit and wait. One note about the train ride experience itself was that the tables were arranged in a booth like manner. The tables weren't movable, and there was not a lot of space for larger people to be comfortable. We noticed quite a few larger folks who were really crammed and uncomfortable. But overall, the entire experience was well done and enjoyable. The train ride itself was about 2 hours, and we enjoyed a lovely dinner. There was a small menu with several choices as well a small variety of drink options including wine, beer, a few spirits, soda, and water.

Delightful, enchanting, and sensational! I would love to do this again with family and friends. The service by Kevin, Linda, and Michelle were fabulousThe tea and biscuits were also amazing with a great view of the valley. Such a good way of enjoying the day with your cherished ones on a trainAnd thank you to Angel at the Front reception for letting me know where to buy the chamomile tea

What a great experience. The staff, especially our waiter, Freda, were super nice and willing to help. The scenery really was beautiful and the food was solid. I thought at times it could be improved (more flavor, color) but overall the package was great despite being on the pricey side. I recommend the Gourmet Express.

A Truly Unforgettable Experience! From the moment I booked the Napa Valley Wine Train to the time we stepped off at the end, this was hands-down one of the best experiences I've had in the last five years. The booking process was incredibly smooth and hassle-free, which set the tone for the entire trip. The staff provided exceptional customer service, ensuring we felt welcome and taken care of at every stage. The train ride itself was a dream—so relaxing as we rolled through the stunning Napa Valley landscapes. The food options were excellent, offering a variety of delicious choices that made the journey even more memorable. The attention to detail in both the meals and service was remarkable.I would highly recommend this wine train experience to all of my family and friends. It’s the perfect way to enjoy a day in Napa, and I’ll definitely be returning in the future!

My wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and wanted to experience something unique. The train overall was a really good experience, with very nice views of Napa. The service: OUTSTANDING!!! Our section was served by Jose. He was such a wonderful and professional. He really made us feel like we were VIP and made us feel very special. He even brought us a special treat because it was our anniversary. We inquired about dietary restrictions and he was so helpful. Also, he constantly checked on our experience and he was an overall great asset to have. Super friendly and super hospitable.****Thank you so much Jose for making this a unique experience****

The sunset dome ride was BEAUTIFUL, it just felt a little short unfortunately. The food was amazing! Each plate was such a delicious journey. Highly recommend. Maybe do one of the longer rides. By the time we finished eating, there was only like 20 min left.

Worth the price tag! What an unreal luxury experience. From the staff, to the ambiance, setting, food and wine. Everything was 5 stars. If you are hestitant to spend the money, just do it. Treat yourself. The food was high quality and the views were unreal. The manager even helped take a couple photos of my friend and I. I hope to visit again because I was in complete heaven.PS: bring a lock to add to the cute lock collection before boarding. What a romantic date idea.

We went on The Napa Wine Train on a Saturday early evening. It was a murder mystery dinner, with a 50's theme. Although, it is quite pricey! It was a very fun evening. We boarded around 5:30-6 pm, took a picture and were greated with a glass of sparkling wine. The actor's were introduced, and what the murder mystery rules were.We had a delicious dinner, and dessert. The waitress was super attentive and pleasant. It was fun evening, because, most people on the train dressed up, and really played along.Their personalities were fantastic. I was glad we had a fun bunch of people. It was definitely on my bucket list and I was glad we did it! I would highly recommend.

Such a spectacular experience! Our hosts (J, Miguel and Rosa) were amazing and the chefs were wonderful. Our tour stopped at two wineries for a tour and tastings: the Charles Krug winery and V. Sattui -so sorry for the misspelling- winery. Set course meals: breakfast, lunch, snack, and a dessert.

Melissa H — Google review

Wonderful trip that took us to two vineyards for some amazing wine tasting. The breakfast and lunch served on the train was excellent ,and I love the overall view you get from the windows as you pass by Napa. Definitely the ambience was nice!

Now this was an awesome experience! Three of my friends and I went to Napa for a girl's trip and this was one of the highlights of our trip. The check in and boarding experience was seamless. There was a store in the waiting area that sells maps of Napa, chocolate lollipop sticks for hot chocolate, and other souvenirs. I purchased the chocolate lollipop and had it with some hot oat milk once I got back home from my girls trip. It was delicious. The wine train had a classy old world ambiance. Our reservation was made a few weeks before we all traveled to Napa. The tickets are sold in pairs so two of my friends purchased two tickets each and then they requested that we be seated at the same table. No problems with that request being granted. There was a complimentary glass of wine with each ticket. I don't drink alcohol so I was given sparkling cider. All other drinks/bottles of wine had to be purchased separately. The food was great. I am usually not someone that likes pumpkin based or flavored food but I chose the pumpkin soup for an appetizer and the pumpkin creme brulee for dessert. Both were yummy. The pumpkin was not overpowering. For my entree I had the Salmon. Everything was very tasty. The bread was warm🙂. The views from the train added to the experience. You can't beat a great lunch, views and spending time with friends. As part of our wine train experience we opted to stop at the Grgich Hills Estate for a wine tasting. It was a $75 tasting but it was included in the ticket price of the wine train. I learned after the fact that when booking the wine train they offer an option for non-drinkers. Mental note for myself if I return to Napa and want to experience the wine train again. As part of the tasting at the vineyard you can take home the two wine glasses you do the tasting with. There was also a short presentation anout the vineyard and how the grapes are grown and harvested. We were at the vineyard for about an hour until the train returned to pick us up. Those who did not do the vineyard wine tasting stayed on the train.

Overall the experience I had was great!! I was among friends celebrating a birthday. The train was amazing and a beautiful sight to see. The food was amazing as well. I had shirt ribs and was very pleased. The only downfall was I feel that maybe ticket should come with maybe 2 drinks and then additional for purchase. We got one glass of sparkling wine upon being seated and that was it. The drink prices are average, which was fine. I personally feel the cost of the experience could have included a bit more, maybe a wine pairing with the meal, or maybe even a small charcuterie tray per table since it took a while for meal. But overall again the experience was great!! Memories were made

Jessica B — Google review

Look, the food was good, the staff were lovely, and it was a pleasant experience, but the value for money just wasn't there for me. I did the Dome gourmet express and at $420 per person, with one glass of sparkling wine included, I left feeling like I spent a lot of money for not a lot. I guess it depends what you're after though - some people seemed to really love it. Given it's called the Wine Train, it would have been nice to have some tastings included from local partner providers that you went past while on the train. Maybe some fun facts about wine and the local vineyards? I feel like they have an opportunity to do something amazing with this experience but fell short. Again, some people really loved it.If you want to sit on a nicely styled train and eat a lovely meal but expect nothing more then this is perfect way to spend $420 for you.

This is a must do when you're in Napa, the train was clean and looks beautiful on the in side. The food choices are very good, I had the beef steak 😋 was delicious but I forgot to get a picture 📸 I did get the delicious dessert picture. Had a fantastic time with Friends food and wine, they were so nice they even surprised the bride to be with an extra treat. The staff was fantastic and friendly.

Finally made a point to do the Wine Train and was impressed. From the staffs hospitality, knowledge and overflowing enthusiasm to great wines in a vintage setting, it was great all around. Special shout out to Jay and Oscar who were remarkable making sure we all got schooled on what you do when th train stops, and when the train moves - drink! Truely a fun experience that peaks in the open air car on the return trip. Food, camaraderie, education and overall experience will have us coming back for sure.

What an awesome experience. I'm a train and wine freak. So combined I'm just a total freak. This experience was amazing and a special thanks to Emma and the ladies in our car who took such great care of us. The food was so good. The wine pairings were so yummy. We left the station in Napa headed for St Helena. Then you head back to Napa. 1.5 hours each way. You enjoy great wine and lots of great information on the way. We did the multiple courses paired with 7 wines. It's pricey but worth every $! Thanks again to the wine train folks for making our trip rememberable!

The Napa Valley Wine Train is a Lifetime memory. My wife and I were fortunate to celebrate our 35th Wedding Anniversary in Napa Valley. My wife planned this part of our trip and I'm so happy she did. We did the Vista Dome Lunch and it was incredible. The comfort and privacy of the Vista Dome makes the elegant experienceThe service was fantastic; I appreciated the tour guide letting us know historic facts of buildings, people, and the vineyards.Every course of our gourmet meal was perfectly prepared.I don't drink but my wife enjoyed the wine.If you want to create a lifetime memory take the time; and invest the money to have a first class experience it was worth every penny.

This was one of the coolest experiences we had when visiting Napa Valley! Everyone should do this when you come as you not only get to visit 2 awesome wineries, but they also do a tasting and a great lunch on the train! Food is delicious and the service is great and a lot of fun! I highly recommend the beef! We did the whole day one so they also gave us breakfast and dessert. The train has a really cool, unique, back to the 40s kind of vibe. Was cool to see the vineyards on the side and not have to drive as well! They have a high tea one that I want to go back for….

The Napa Valley Wine Train is an experience that everyone should have at least one time in life. The service was fantastic; Dionisio is incredible and took great care of us.Every course of our gourmet meal was perfectly prepared. The whole experience is unique. My son is in a wheelchair and they did everything to make our experience smooth and perfect. Love it so much.

It was moderately expensive but worth every cent. The best trip I've had in a long time rating it over a 10 star. would do it again and try other rides with them in the near future. I recommend it highly to anyone looking to get away even on a short trip it is worthwhile.

Sedona B — Google review

We booked the Grgich wine tasting and lunch option. While the service from staff was excellent, the food and the single wine tasting left a lot to be desired, especially for the price (>$800/couple). We requested a vegan option when booking, but the options were minimal for our party. The train travels the same way there and back (therefore you don’t get the opposite view on the return trip). I would choose a private car winery tour next time and visit 3-4 wineries. The train was beautiful and the service was the highlight of the trip.

Sheetal S — Google review

My three hour gourmet lunch train was amazing. The staff was very accommodating for us and our infant and the ride was scenic and just the right length. The food was absolutely delicious and well worth the price. It was the best beef tenderloin I've ever had. Of course the wine was delicious as you would expect. I recommend getting there early for pictures as they have some great selfie stations and can serve some wine while you wait for the train. Lots of comfortable seating in the station.

Booked a surprise Napa trip for hubby’s birthday and had to do experience the Napa Wine Train. We booked for the Legacy 6hr wine trip.Overall it was a great experience, the service was exceptional! Thank you Alicia & Oscar for your fantastic service & making the day amazing! The food was great, my only feedback is there was no wine pairing included within the price, however there is optional cocktails & wine flights available for purchase.Whilst the winery stops were nice, they felt a little rushed and sign up membership focused. Also both wineries were extremely busy, thankfully private area for the Wine train group. We glad we experienced the Napa Wine Train & do recommend for first time visit, however would not pay to experience a second time.

Nikks B — Google review

Wonderful experience from start to finish. To celebrate my birthday, I did the Legacy experience, which was a full day tour. We had a tasting on the train, then stopped at 2 wineries. We were served 4 courses. And all the food was appetizing. It was definitely a great experience! Loved it

JaQuetta T — Google review

I booked the Legacy tour for my 40th birthday and it did not disappoint. At first I thought it was expensive but it does include breakfast, lunch, snack and dessert plus 11 tastings. Some of the pours were very generous. There are add ons that you buy on board but to be honest I only added a sangria as an in between drink and a the millionaire’s coffee to go with my dessert. The prices on board were very reasonable. The food was fives stars. The staff was so nice and accommodating. Honestly what makes this so amazing is the staff on the train and the staff at the stops. I loved all the historical info that went along with the tastings.Lastly the open air cart was so much fun and I loved the dance party at the end. How many people can say they dance on a train. I love every bit of this experience and I’m so happy this is how I brought in my 40th birthday.Oh definitely buy the sweet treat. You get a small bottle of wine if your choice, chocolates and your photo is included. Plus some little extras.

We planned this trip in January for May. It snuck up quickly and I forgot what the Wine Train included. It was just wonderful. The atmosphere was great, the staff was great, the food was great, the wine tours were fun, then there was dancing on the train. It was a wonderful experience. I highly recommend the Wine Train if you plan a trip to Napa!

I'd say go for it if have always wanted the experience. Our host was lively, the wine was good, and the train was cute and clean. The price for the ride is crazy high for what you get. The food was terrible. We didn't even eat it. I don't know what kind of low grade steak that was, but there wasn't a stitch of seasoning nor taste to be found. The train ride was a straight line along a road in town. So on one side you'll see traffic, homes, and businesses. On the other you can see the vineyards and hills. It was lackluster. You ride out a distance, then stop so they can switch the 'driver car' and caboose positions so we can drive back. To make the experience a blast I'd say go with a large and lively group of people. You'll have to make it fun. Oh, one last thing, you will get stuck to the seats. You can't slide across them. Doesn't seem like a big deal until you try it in a dress.

Erica K — Google review

This was an absolutely amazing experience. Since you step foot in the station to setting foot in the train, you are welcomed by the friendliest staff. Our train host, Jorge, was absolutely the best. He's full of knowledge and history, but fun and very attentive. He even danced the afternoon away with the crowd. Every wine tasted had a story and the knowledge shared by various was exceptional. We made new memories, had fun, and didn't have to drive.

I loved being able to visit this venue again after several years (post covid). The ambiance is nice. The food was delicious 😋. Moving to the dessert car after lunch was a nice twist, I don't remember doing that in previous years. The sun was out, so it was a beautiful ride! It's great to get your picture taken as you board the train & when you get back, the digital is ready & you can buy the package, which makes for a wonderful keepsake. The gift store is really nice as well to buy some gifts & wine 🍷. If you're looking for a really nice outing to do in Napa with friends or your significant other, this is one you must do while visiting Napa!

We did the wine train for my wife's birthday and we both loved our experience! The food was gourmet and excellent. the staff was so engaging and fun and gave lots of great details about the different wineries and the area that we went through. We started with a late breakfast of eggs benedict over round hash browns and a wonderful little salad. Maria, our train host, gave us a lot of unique facts about the places we were seeing out the window as we ate our brunch. We then stopped at the Napa Valley Sign and Jorge explained the different wines we were having during the wine tasting. Then we sat down for lunch as we watched the valley go by. Both the vegetarian lunch option my wife had as well as my pork tenderloin were beyond tasty. The two vineyards we went to were unique and the tastings were fun! Finally, as we went back down the valley we were served a rich dessert and had a dance lesson from Jorge. This experience was top notch! It is a six hour experience that is well worth the money. Additionally we have nothing but good things to say about the staff as Maria and Jorge shined and were very lovely!

My friend and I went to Napa for a day trip to celebrate her birthday. The wine train was such a great experience and I can’t wait to go back again! We did the afternoon tea and it honestly had us so full we canceled our dinner reservations. Everything tasted delicious and the staff were so helpful taking our pictures.

The Wine Train is a bit pricey but well worth the cost for the experience! The combination of food, wine, and scenery was great! Our sweet hostess Claudia was both attentive and informative! ❤️

Hands down, absolutely the best dining experience in the Napa area! We went aboard the Vista Dome for dinner. The service was very informative about not only the food but the wineries in the local area. They go above and beyond in every way to make sure each of their guests are comfortable and well taken care of. The food itself was top notch in every way, from taste to presentation. They also offer a wide variety of wine tastings and tours. I highly recommend this establishment for a great experience, whether passing through Napa or visiting this wonderful town.

It's an expensive tour, but it's a memorable experience. The service is outstanding and the team really wants you to enjoy your time.Had to re-edit to thank Alicia, Marina, and Miguel for their great service. Also wanted to give an extra thank you to Remy for keeping us entertained while working hard.

Generally a good experience. Not really a good "value", but a unique experience. Probably wouldn't do it again, but would recommend to friends to do once. The views were great even in the rain. For the express lunch (late seating), we got a glass of sparkling wine to start, then could order drinks. After a while we got some appetizers. About halfway through, we moved to the dining car for the 3 course lunch. Had a good variety of entree options: meat, fish, vegetarian, etc. A bit disappointed in the soup namely because the croutons had been added early and were soggy lumps by the time it was served. The lava cake desert was great (other options were sorbet or creme brulee).Note that wine is an added cost for the express lunch. You can buy wine in the store and pay a corking fee or pay a higher price for wine on the train.I was frustrated that some options are not available to individuals but only groups of 2 or more.

My husband, my mother and I had a lovely trip on the Napa Valley Wine Train two weeks ago. We selected the Gourmet Express Lunch experience on a Tuesday hoping it would be less crowded and that was indeed the case. The entire experience was well organized, beginning with the check-in and reception. On the train, we were seated in the dining car for the entire trip. We were pleasantly surprised at the menu options and the three courses did not disappoint. We all selected the salad to start and it was beautifully prepared and presented. For dessert, my husband selected the crème brûlée and my mother and I both selected the Lava Cake which was heavenly. They have a nice selection of wines and you can order by the glass or by the bottle. The service on the train was really impressive, our server was Michell and she did a terrific job. Without exception, everyone we encountered on the train and at the reception was professional and genuinely pleasant. We plan to go again in the autumn to enjoy another lunch and the changing colors in the Valley.

My husband and I just took the Napa Train with the Vista Dome Lunch. We had a fabulous time and would highly recommend it to others. First, the staff was knowledgeable and we learned a great deal on our trip about the various wineries. Tammy gave us a lot of her time and was a wealth of information. Next, the food choices were great. My husband and I ordered different courses and both were delicious! We left very full and totally satisfied!

My husband and I treated ourselves to THE LEGACY EXPERIENCE 4 course dinner, all day train ride as part of our Anniversary celebration. We were a bit hesitant to spend $1400 on it…but it ended up being worth it. The food was very good. Kind of wish some wine was served with each dish but the wine tasting at the stops (and the train) made it up for it. You can order cocktails/wines for separate pmt. Nick was an amazing guide/entertainer during the train ride and wine tasting (he was very attentive to our needs w/out us asking for it - like having water during the tastings and just being there when needed). His sense of humor and elegance just added charm the entire experience. You guys are lucky to have him. Our server Betty was very polite, kind and attentive. Her attitude toward us as clients is what also made it special. So yes, spending so much was worth it because the staff cared about their representation of the train and its’ experience for us. And yes, we danced on the train! And once again the staff made it more fun. Keep it up! And thank you for treating us like we were that special ;) even though you do it day after day.

We did the Legacy experience for my mother's birthday in early October. We came with a group of 5 and had a great time! The food served on the train was fresh, the wine was tasty, and the vineyards we visited were beautiful. The price was high, but the experience was absolutely worth it. Our hosts were J and Oscar and they did an excellent job helping us celebrate!

The Legacy trip was an amazing way see the Napa Valley. Nick and Alicia took care of every detail including putting my wife’s unfinished white wine in the fridge during one of our stops. The food was absolutely top notch!!!The tastings and stops were both informative and delicious; not to mention beautiful locations. It was an absolutely amazing trip. I can’t think of a better way to see Napa Valley!!!

One of the most amazing wine experiences I've had. The service was phenomenal, the food was delicious, and the wines were fabulous! And even with all of that, there were still beautiful views and exciting vineyards and wineries. Not enough adjectives to describe the experience.

Beautiful views, superb staff, delicious food, and a lovely interior! Napa Valley Wine Train has it all! Tried to take some photos on my old digital camera, but the lens doesn’t do any of it justice. 10/10 experience with the family and we are definitely going to do it again.

Just had a fabulous experience on the wine train. Five of us, ladies of a certain age, met in Napa to spend a few days together. We chose to sit in the glass car and have the four course meal. Our server Hannah did a great job making sure we had everything we could ever want including specialty drinks. The food was amazing. Whether you're deep into wines or not this is an experience not to be missed.

Today we had lunch on the Napa Valley Wine Train! Our host Betty was amazing! My adult son has Tourette’s and she made the day absolutely special! He doesn’t like his food spicy or touching and the cooks made it perfect, fingerling potatoes and plain salmon! His dessert came without the sauces just like he asked! (Us adults had the meal as is and it was delicious) She took him on a tour and the entire staff was so kind and treated him with such respect and patience! He loves to visit fancy places but due to his Tourette’s it can be challenging but today was perfect, and he left the train a very happy man! I was worried he would be too loud but everyone on the train was socializing so it was a louder atmosphere which was great! I still felt bad for the couple directly by us but they were amazing too! I thought it might feel crowded but it didn’t…. I wish I could give them 10 stars!

Kara H — Google review

The wine train is a six hour ride. They serve an excellent four course meal and stop three times for a generous wine tasting. On the way back they offer music and dancing on an open air car. The crew looked like they had as much fun as the passengers did.
