hey @Netflix can you please make these books into a movie/mini-series.. please?? i'll even give you a dollar or something-

this whole series is really questioning my sanity because- well, it's kinda showing a side of me that's... dark and uh.. ᵇˡᵒᵒᵈᵗʰⁱʳˢᵗʸ and you may be asking...

y/n: mel, why are you happy when Lana is about to torture and murder someone?
me: weelll i-

Paint It All Red (Mindf*ck, #5) (2)

*cue tiktok audio* "is this who we are? is this who we represent?" yes. yes it is. because teamLana all the way. what she's doing may be a little unconventional, to say the least but like- just imagine her as any other superheroes out there but make it ✨violent & bloody✨

so, this is the conclusion of Lana and Logan's story, where we finally get to find out what Lana's endgame was this entire time and i LOVED it... well.. mostly. i just thought it was a bit rushed but i'll talk about that later.

anywho, y'all just please read this series please and thank youuuu.

☞︎ SPOILERS AHEAD ☜︎

˗ˏˋ Lana & Logan my two precious beans ˎˊ˗
awww my babies!!! i love them so much. i thought- i THOUGHT we were gonna have a bittersweet ending because first of all, how tf was Lana gonna escape?? thank god that happened at the end. and did Logan grovel well?? yes, i think so but i wish there were more scenes where the grovelling was dragged on and she didn't forgive him right when they reunite again.

˗ˏˋ Dynamic Duo: Lana & Jake ˎˊ˗
THESE TWO WERE SO FUCKING CUTE. ugh i just couldn't. they were quite literally bff goals. Jake is the ultimate ride-or-die friend like, what more could you ask? would your friend pretend to be paralyzed for years and help you torture and murder your rapists?? yeah, I. Don't. Think. So.

˗ˏˋ unexpected ship between two genius dorks ˎˊ˗
ok i did NOT see this coming but fuck yes. i love Jake and Hadley. was i expecting this relationship? hell no. but-

Paint It All Red (Mindf*ck, #5) (3)

if s.t. abby is writing a book about these two? imma snatch that real quick.

˗ˏˋ that mofo who started it all ˎˊ˗
OHHH MYYY GOD. i truly 100% did NOT expect the serial killer to be that person!! first of all, the clues were there and Logan even acted weirdly and gave me hints because he was all like hmmm why is he overreacting?? seems sus to me and i was like

Paint It All Red (Mindf*ck, #5) (4)

but of-fuckin'-course the one person i overlooked was the serial killer.. damn. though, im kinda sad that there's no confrontation between this asshole and Lana. i really wanted to see that just because i wanna hear another one of her epic speeches.

˗ˏˋ the ending ˎˊ˗
ok this is why i didn't rate the book a full 5 stars and went with 4.75 stars instead. i don't know... the ending was just a bit rushed for me. everything was happening so quickly and when i mentioned that this book brings out the ᵇˡᵒᵒᵈᵗʰⁱʳˢᵗʸ side of me, i ain't joking. some of the deaths were TOO quick for my liking. Johnson? Sheriff? it was too quick for me. like seriously? you're just gonna stab one to death while shot the other in the head?? naaahhhhh

Paint It All Red (Mindf*ck, #5) (5)

i mean... personally, i wish she kept Kyle, Sheriff and Johnson alive and cut their d*cks, tongue and fingers off and let them live like that but okaaaayyy whatever. stabbing and shooting them is good too i guess.

also, there were just some loose ends like what happened to Logan's team? are they okay? what about the other side characters like Diana? Lindy and Laurel? is Logan's team hunting Logan and Hadley now? i need answers!!!

but whatever. all of my babies got their happy ending and if they're happy, i'm happy too.

* * *

*sigh* anyways, this was a nice journey y'all and im not looking forward to the book hangover i'm about to experience. this is a romance (NOT erotica, don't let the book covers fool you) but honestly? read this for the story and character/friendship developments because that's what made this series so so SO good.

i'm so happy i finally rated a book/series that's higher than 3 stars because 2020 releases aren't going too well for me- mostly. but this series deserves ALLLL the hype and this will definitely be in my all-time favorites because that's how good this is aaand Lana is one of the best heroines i've read.

this will be my review for the series as a whole.

mind? fucked to say the least! i devoured this whole thing so fast. literally after reading book 2, i knew this would quickly become my favorite series of all time. there is so much to unpack here but i’ll keep it brief

i’m so thankful that i came across this series. most people know this series to be “FBI agent falls in love with a serial killer he is investing” but it is much more than that. it is about survival, healing, and suffering, and how the voices of survivors can’t always be silenced.

Lana’s characterization, not only as a survivor, but as a strong, independent, badass woman was so incredibly fascinating to read about. Also the chemistry between Lana and Logan was almost tangible. they are my BABIES!

the writing and storyline were incredible. these characters have so much depth to them. the author did a great job of giving us a soul crushing romance while also giving us and edge of the seat plot. i was never bored. i quickly became so incredibly addicted to this series that my physical health was deteriorating. i literally would not eat or sleep. i only lived and breathed this series. i definitely suggest NOT doing that when you read this series. learn from my mistakes

i found myself crying during those last few chapters because i was so engrossed with these characters and truly wanted the best for them. i finished the series with the biggest smile on my face. the mindfuck series deserves nothing less than 5 stars and i will die on this hill

-if you plan to read this series PLEASE look of TWs. the material in this book is very heavy and dense. it is not for the faint of heart. major TWs: SA, brutal r*pe, homophobia, blood, murder, mutilation of all kinds, separation of body parts, ects.

also had to add that the author of this series did tragically pass away in 2021 and her work means so much to me. sad i’ll never be able to read anything new from her or the fact that she isn’t here to witness how popular books are getting. i hope her family is proud of her ❤️

This review will stand as my review for the entire five book series, FYI...

Overall Series Rating: 5 Brilliant Stars

I don't know where I was when this series came out (I seem to be saying that a lot lately...apparently I am VERY out of the loop)...or why I didn't hear about it until last week...

But better late than never, as they say.

The minute I heard S.T. Abby is a pseudonym for CM Owens, I was all over this thing like flies on shit.

Paint It All Red (Mindf*ck, #5) (8)

CM Owens is one of my top favorite authors - her Death Chasers MC series is one of my MOST reread series - and her Wilder series is definitely up there too. I've also read a great deal of her Sterling Shore series as well.

In fact, I have been very impatiently waiting for book five in the Death Chasers series...but if my long wait has been a result of her being busy writing this instead?

Well, then I approve.

Paint It All Red (Mindf*ck, #5) (9)

This series was simply awesome.

So many times, I pick up reads that claim to be oh-so-dark...and, whelp...

Paint It All Red (Mindf*ck, #5) (10)

Not so much.

Other times, I pick up romantic suspense and the suspense is, again...

Paint It All Red (Mindf*ck, #5) (11)

But this book?

De-fucking-livered, people.

On all counts.

Not only was the writing and overall characterization of every character spot on, you could tell that Owens really did her homework in so many areas.

Nothing was half-assed and yet, at no point did I feel like I was receiving an info dump of "author research" masquerading as narrative.

Soooooooo refreshing.

If you have read Owens since her Sterling Shore days, as I have, you can really tell she has hit her full stride as an author.

I really loved how well thought out and planned the overall plot was here. Owens really mastered the art of giving the reader enough information throughout the series to mollify and provide some reader satisfaction...while also holding enough back to keep the reader interested.

I still figured out who the "original killer" was before the end - and certain details of the "endgame" became a little bit...overly farfetched - but I was still VERY interested in getting to that point regardless.

Above all though, I love revenge stories where the good side has to dip a toe into the bad side - without any sugarcoating - to make sure justice gets served.

And this series had that in spades.

Cannot recommend it highly enough to anyone looking for truly gritty romantic suspense.

So glad I finally found this and picked it up. As always, looking forward to more from Owens/Abby.

Paint It All Red (Mindf*ck, #5) (13)

One of the best dark series I've ever read (hidden between the WORST covers ever).

I don’t know what else to say after the fifth book except that I’ve stopped questioning my morality and that I am officially insane, there’s no doubt about it. Maybe I’ll just repeat what I've already said: This series is phenomenal and worth every penny BUT only if you’re not easily shocked. It is very, very dark with lots of triggers. You have to be open-minded and constantly remind yourself that this is only fiction.

There’s another thing I simply don’t get: Who is S. T. Abby? How come I've never heard of her before? Because there's NO WAY she's a debut author. The plot is too intricate and the story too brilliantly interwoven, the details too carefully and thoughtfully planned out. The writing is too polished, characterization too complex and meticulous. And that ending …

Paint It All Red (Mindf*ck, #5) (14)

God, what am I going to read next? This series gave me so much adrenaline I can't even begin to express. I’m already feeling the first symptoms of withdrawal…

What a whirlwind of a last book! I had no idea how this series was going to end or even how I wanted it to end but S.T. Abby gave it the PERFECT ending!! This series will forever be burned in my memory. Such a wild rollercoaster of romance, murder, mystery, corruption, and a heartbreaking past. I <3 Lana & Logan forever

this was so fucking good. a perfect ending to this story omg😩i’ll never stop thinking about it. i cried so hard and felt so much. this is the type of series you binge, but i’m glad i spaced it out. i highly recommend this series, but it’s definitely not for everyone so check those trigger warnings if you need to<3

❥ 𝓅𝓁𝑜𝓉:
the plot is just so good through the entire series. the ending had me on edge omg it fucked with my mind a bit. the kind of plot twist that sent my heart straight to the bottom of my stomach. the kind where you have to close the book and wait a bit to continue because you’re scared of everything that’s going on. usually romance is my main focus, but let me tell you that plot was just a bonus. i can’t believe i just said that, but it’s true. there could have been 0 romance in these books and i still would’ve rated it 5 stars because lana is that girl💅🏼

I have loved every minute of this series. From start to finish, this series kept me on the edge of my seat. If you like suspenseful, dark stories, then this is one that you don't want to miss!

Finally, I got all of the answers that I had been waiting for. I thought I had things figured out. Man, was I ever wrong! This was one ending that I didn't see coming. When the identity of the original Delaney Grove rapist/killer was revealed, I was shocked.

Of course, there is plenty of road to travel before everything is revealed. Logan has finally learned Lana's secrets...or at least he thinks he has. This makes for an interesting turn of events. There are some surprising alliances formed and Logan is forced to reevaluate his morality and values.

The final stages of Lana's revenge plan are put into place. Although I found some of this particular aspect to be a bit over-the-top and unbelievable, I still found the story to be highly enjoyable. She definitely left her mark on Delaney Grove.

I only wish that some of the really bad guys, like the Sheriff, had been tortured a bit more. I'm twisted like that. After all that build-up, I felt like some of the worst offenders got off a little easier in the end. It was like Lana was growing tired of her own need for revenge.

I don't want to say too much and give anything away. I will just say that this series has completely blown me away. It is a must-read if you like dark, suspenseful reads with a touch of romance. It is terrific!

Hot fuckin shit!
That was I’m telling you the best ending ever. I absolutely loved this and Lana is now one of my top female lead characters ever.
She’s such a bad bitch and her and Jake are literally the power best friend duo I want in real life.
Logan was amazing yet again and Hadley and the other were great too.
Lana was so strong in this book and I did have to shed a few tears after finding out who the og killer is.
Logan’s and Lana’s relationship in this book was tested and their feelings for eachother developed on such a level that I could truly feel their connection and root for them.
I still think that my favorite character is probably Jake just because his connection to Lana was not only protective but also heartwarming and super supportive which I loved to see.
The entire setting was also amazing and yet again this book proved to me that Lana is capable of anything and that often times you need to do the wrong thing to end up being right.

Overall this series was amazing and I recommend it to everyone that can handle this graphic content.

5 Stars!

.... Hands down mindf*cker #5

Note: This is a dark, suspense romance.

Victoria Evans. Lana Myers. Logan Bennett. Lana Vorhees. Logan White. Mr. and Mrs. White

I'm so happy yet sad that this series is over. I will truly miss all those well-portrayed characters that made this story a top-notch.

In summary, all motherfuckers (the sheriff, deputies, rapists, abusers, and traitors) had payed their sins. The town of Delaney Grove has been burned to ashes. The original killer, Christopher Denver, was eradicated forever. Victoria, Jacob, Robert, Marcus, and Jasmine finally found peace. Lana and Logan got their happy ever after — in their own twisted way.

Delaney Grove

“If hatred didn’t exist, love wouldn’t either, for one is formed by the other. I love and hate this town."

This is one of the BEST series I've ever read. If you like a good revenge-suspense romance, give this one a chance! Lana Myers and Logan Bennett won't surely disappoint ya.

I underestimated the true genius of dark minds.

This series is an incredible edge-of-your-seat ride with a final reveal that will leave your jaw on the floor. I love when a book is unpredictable and surprises me like that!

Picking up where the last book ended… we are still in pursuit of the truth. Who committed the first murder? How will Logan react when he discovers the woman he loves is the serial killer he’s been after? When will it be Kyle’s time? 😡 All of these questions and more will finally be answered. Between the profiling process and heart-pounding action — I was fully engaged and could not catch my breath. I shed tears over the horrific details and unimaginable trauma these characters endured. Mostly, I was salivating for the revenge our angel of death doled out!

I HIGHLY recommend this series to any fans of true crime or Netflix’s Mindhunter! If you haven’t watched Mindhunter, I also highly recommend it. It is one of my favorite shows! 🤌✨

My mind feels like it’s gone through a mind-fuck blender. Up is down. Right is left. Good is bad.

“Personally, I think it’s over-the-top to stab a guy for the man you love, but still perfectly effective.”

You know what they say about hubris…

“I should have killed someone in the shower,” I state randomly. “Like in the horror movies when the murderer always sneaks up and slices the knife through the curtain. The water runs red then.”

Everyone wants my name. There’s a Rumpelstiltskin joke in there somewhere.

I’ll never get tired of how she never reacts the way I predict. Half of the reason I fell so hard was the constant mystery cloaking her.

“My father was also a horror movie buff. Old school horror movies. He said he didn’t have the time or patience for pretty boy douchebags who had mommy issues.” …
“Mom always teased him that he just liked the scary, in-your-face psychopaths with mommy issues. Michael Myers was one of his faves.”

“I had a nerd-gasm that led to a real orgasm later on. I got that turned on.”

“Something about a girl with a gun, and right now, you’re every nerd’s comic-book-sexy fantasy girl.” … “Seriously! The tight pants, all the guns, the sleeveless shirt—”

“Every epic climax needs a good theme song.”

Best. Epilogue. Ever. 🥹

For starters, this whole series was so damn good.👀
I can't believe it's over!

As I said before, looking at the covers of the books, I wasn't very excited to get started.
But everyone was so hyped for them that I felt like I couldn't not read them.
And oh my, I'm so happy I did.🥹
This turns out to be one of my

favorite series.

Lana - I love her.🖤
She's our badass Dexter-girl, but a little more stabby and she actually has a valid reason.
The things her and her family went through... that was the hardest part to read. That was sooo fucked.
And if the police, the FBI, the justice system and your neighborhood fails you.. What's left?
So yeah, I'm all team Lana all the way. Torture them babyyy.🔪🩸

Thanks, needed that ;)

Right, so I can't talk about this book without giving anything away being that it's the last book and holds all those important answers. What I can say is that this series has hit my top 5 'dark' series list. For me it had everything in it I love in a dark read and the extra crime element and profiling made it even better.

For me I wished the ending would have been as full on as the rest of the series, or maybe it's just the endings in the other books all ended on a dramatic cliffhanger so the final ending just seemed to fizzle. Regardless it was still brilliant.

If you have ever liked dark reads do yourself a favour and read this series, you won't be sorry.

The final one- what a wild ride it’s been!

This one was a little bit far fetched, things were happening that seemed a little outrageous, but it was still a very good ending to the series.

Again, I will state that when reading this series you have to be prepared that it involves heavy torture and you have to suspend your sense of morality a little. All of these people deserved to die, but she definitely became somewhat of a monster too.

I liked how we got the full details of everything that happened. I like the steps she took to make sure no one innocent was harmed which made it less dark.

The romance portion was a little bit less believable in this one. I don’t see a FBI agent with rigid morals being able to fully understand and love her anyways. However, I wouldn’t have been happy with the other outcome either and wanted them to end up together.

With all that said, it was an enjoyable series and an enjoyable end! Reminded me of a female version of Dexter

IT'S ONE OF MY BEST READS SO FAR! ✨😭

— I swear to God, this series was so good! I really loved Lana and Logan! After the ending of the previous book, I was mad at Logan for behaving badly with Lana, but he immediately realized that he made a mistake after finding out she was Victoria! And after so many chapters, when they had their scene, IT WAS SO GOOD! 🫶🏻♥️ He apologized for everything!

— Also, the revenge plan was so fricking good! There were ten phases of revenge, and IT WAS A PERFECT PLAN! The way they scared the shit out of the whole town by making them believe that Victoria (Lana) is an angel who came back for revenge! 💀 I'm happy that Lana got her revenge, and the whole shooting scene was just WOW! It had me in a chokehold; I really thought something would happen to Lana! And I would've been furious. My heart actually stopped when I thought she died. 😤 Anyway, THE REVENGE WAS SWEET! ✨

— Now, about the original killer, FFS, I was so hella curious to know who was the person who killed the sheriff's daughter and other women! I guessed that maybe it was Director Collins or Johnson, BUT NAHHHHHH! IT WAS SUCH A BIGGG PLOT TWIST! I was literally shocked when I found out who he was 🥹 and fr, I won't spoil it here!

— The ending was so fuckingggg cute, and I'm happy that both Logan and Lana got to live happily married in Greece, and the fact that Logan left his job just to be with Lana! And his realization that NOTHING REALLY MATTERS EXCEPT LANA! 😩 It was a really nice ending! 🤭💕

— Also, did I mention I LOVEEEEEE JAKE! 🥺
He's seriously so fucking perfect and genius (as Hadley said). The last phone call he and Lana had was so sad and heartbreaking! He literally risked his life in the end and saved Lana! All the plans were perfectly planned by him, and he was such an amazing best friend! They both shared the same kind of heartbreak and trauma from losing the person they loved! Also, I'm happy that he got Hadley, and they both got married too! 🥺 Both tech geniuses 💋

— Lastly, LEONARD, I swear he was such an amazing character! 😭🫶🏻 The way he understood Lana even before knowing she was Victoria and always took her side! Also, his meaning behind the side story about Katie and the drug dealer was great! Jake, Leonard, and Hadley are my favorite side characters!

Please do give this series a try! It's too good to be left in the TBR! 😂

If this has been sitting in your TBR or you have been on the fence about reading this series take this as a sign to READ THIS SERIES NOW! It is so good and addicting! I was falling into a bit of a slump and this yanked me right out of it.

I am going to keep it short bc I don't want to give anything away, but this is like a love song to victims of abuse, and it is so riveting! These books do deal with heavy subject matter, but they are also somehow sweet and morbidly funny at times.

Lana and her bestie Jake are the heart of these books and I love them forever. Just a phenomenal series!

STOP THE GAMES AND READ THIS SH*T NOW!! Hands down the best thriller romance I’ve ever f*cking read! When people typically say “I couldn’t put this series down” most of the time I think they’re dramatic bc as someone who has self proclaimed ADHD lol I can put down any series and hop into another book with no worry but THIS ONE from beginning to end I was hooked immediately jumping to the next book to find out more about Lana and that crazy ass town! Wish the author was still alive just so she could see all the love this book is getting and know how AMAZING her writing is. Please be aware of trigger warnings but definitely DEFINITELY read the Mindf*ck NOWWWW!!! HELLLOOOOOOOO

Now that anniversary present is what you call romantic.

This series was a wild fuckin’ ride. The conclusion didn’t have the emotional payoff I needed, but it was okay enough.

At some point I was just done with the revenge plot and the killing. I needed Logan and Lana to actually talk about the fucked-up nature of their relationship.

But did I have a good time? Absolutely.
Is it worth the hype? Yes.

Rest in peace, S.T. Abby.

Motherfucking preach Jake!

My heart is breaking for her parents. They had such an innocent, all-encompassing kind of love. In a way, maybe it was all worth it if they could be together again. 🥺

Idk who’s worse; Johnson or the director. I wish they were both back in the town that’s about to be decimated.

Can I just say whatever’s forming between Jake and Hadley is my favorite. I wish there could be a book about them.

I knew that Bob Marley song, made famous by Eric Clapton would come into play. 🤣🙌

Karma may be a bitch but Lana is the queen Bitch!

Holy shit! I figured it out right before Logan brought her it to light. bloody brilliant!

Talking about all hell broke loose, I’m not even exaggerating!

There was an air of far fetched-ness (?) cause all that happened in this book just seemed surreal. It was satisfying and expertly done all the same. I hadn’t caught on to who the original killer was until I had a facepalm moment. I was kinda disappointed that , but at least Logan had finally stopped being an idiot.

Overall, this whole series really lived up its name. It was MAGNIFICENT and INDELIBLE. The characterization, the plot, the writing, the romance - *chef’s kiss*. I’m hungover, and it should go without saying that I’ll be associating Mindfucked with words, such as mind blown, the best, favorite, and obsessed. As for Lana Myers, she my champion, my QUEEN, my (s)hero.

Also, wth, this is so underrated. I highly recommend it to you all heathens!

Unrivaled Jennifer's Body vibes.

I loved the ending to this fast and crazy dramatic series. Perfect ending for a perfect couple of perfect psychos!

Though better editing would have helped this series, and I don't generally enjoy the trope of "the right dick healed my sexual trauma", those are really the only complaints I can think of because the Mindf*ck books hooked me completely. The plot was fast and fun with an incredible, unique heroine.

For anyone getting into this series, I would strongly suggest checking the content warnings. The books contain multiple descriptions of some of the most heinous and brutal assaults I have ever heard of (not perpetrated by the hero). It's intense and dark.

Sigh. Wow. I mean. Wow. This series. This series will FOREVER live rent free in my head. Sure, the female serial killer aspect is unique enough, but it’s all the other little intricacies and nuances that came together to make this a memorable series/book. I love it ❤️.

Did I cry? Oh yeah🥺. Did I swoon? Yup🥰. Did I giggle? Believe it or not, I did as well😅. The gamut of emotions while reading this series/book is a testament to how brilliant this series is. The way S. T. Abby/C. M. Owens laid out the series was genius. She laid it out in a way that allowed us to become emotionally invested and root for the innocent girl that was stripped from her happy yet humble life and forced to die in order to rebuild herself so she could seek revenge, all while k!lling and t0rturing the guilty. And I couldn’t get enough 👀.

What can I say? I STILL felt all emotions I felt the first time ❤️.
NGL. I wouldn’t have minded if some of these bad guys had suffered more 🤡. Sigh. Beggars can’t be choosers though 😒 lol!!!
Comeuppance at its finest 💅

2022 Review
The end of book 4 was heartbreaking because Logan didn’t even try to listen to Lana’s side of the story. He reacted too quickly, and the beginning of book 5 shows his regret. But Lana can’t think about his feelings right now. Because…

THE. MOTH@FR€@KING. TIME. HAS. COME 🙌🏻💪🏻👏🏻
DUN DUN DUN
POTENTIAL SPOILERS😈😈😈😈😈

The last ten years have prepared her for this grand finale. Oh, if you thought t0rtur!ng and k!lling Kyle was good enough and all them other abus€rs, you ain’t seen nothing yet… cause this book BLEW my expectations!!

Jake and Lana have planned for every outcome😈. Every possible way things could go, whether good or bad, and they’re READY to see the town painted in RED 🩸. HOLLLLLLYYYY SHIIIIIIT. It’s ABSOLUTELY AMAZING the way the final pieces of the puzzle are put together. Every i was dotted. Every t was crossed. Bravo 👏🏻. I was devouring these pages and feeling SO SATISFIED 🤌🏻😅.

But let’s not forget about Logan 😅. Yes. This is Lana’s journey. But Logan is very much in the picture.

My gosh. The first time he creeps up on her was pretty stealthy. And the freaking tension 🔥🥵 gahhhhh! This man LOVES her (and she loves him) and I was here for these scenes 🔥🥵. At this point, all the cards are laid out on the table, and yet, they can’t help but gravitate towards each other. No matter the reason, they are each other’s person ❤️. And the smexxy times were VERY 🔥.

Was I surprised. Yup 🤯. Makes me wanna reread all the books to find all the clues to all the revelations that get uncovered in this one.

Gahhhhh!!! I loved it 😭🥹

Ohhh… and the epilogue was cute… and VERY FITTING 😅😈💅. Plus, I love the new couple that formed… and how ACCEPTING Logan and Lana are of each other.

Side note- man. Such a shame that this author passed away last year. Such a talented writer ❤️. May she be resting in peace 🙏🏻. Her words will forever live on. I can only thank her with my words. She truly wrote a memorable series. Thank you 🙏🏻❤️

Wherever you go, go with all your heart – Confucius
I agree with this quote one hundred per cent.

So, the truth is out.
Logan is furious and confused. He knows.
Lana is sad and determined to avenge no matter what. She knows that he knows.

Lana and Jake (her best friend, her chosen brother) will set the final stage in the small town of Delaney Grove:
Panic
Fear
Running
Screams
Blood bath
Desperation
Live TV shows with the truth
Fire
Red, red everywhere

It is time also to know who the original killer was 10 years ago. I have to admit that I suspected a great number of characters. Unfortunately, they have been exterminated one by one. The exposure of his identity was a surprise for me. A nasty surprise.

The ending is happily twisted and sweetly dark.
This series was never a fairytale after all.

Final comment: I would love to learn more about Hadley and Jake and the development of their strange relationship. Although I could not have enough of Logan and Lana, I believe that these two sidekicks have stolen the show in the last two books. Could we possibly have a spinoff or a short novel?
